We gathered at the library to celebrate! The kids watched a movie about taking care of their teeth, we shared our first lost tooth stories, took a poll of the group's favorite toothpaste and designed new advertising for new toothpaste. The kids came up with some great ideas: chocolate and other food flavored paste is one idea that comes to mind. It was fun! We also collected all kinds of children's dental supplies: toothbrushes, paste, and floss. We had tons of stuff that we happily donated to Parents as Teachers to distribute to those who may need them. They said there was a great need for these items with the teen parents and immigrant families they work with. They were very appreciative to have our donations. Again, we had a great turnout and a great time! A special thanks goes out to AJ who suggested China Star for dinner. It has turned into a favorite place to eat for all the kids who went! :)
