January 2009 - Project Linus

We started off 2009 by making blankets for an organization called Project Linus. Their mission? "To provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers".” We met at the library to work on our fringed fleece blankets.

Even the guys got into this "sewing project"!
We made 25 blankets to donate and the center was amazed when Megan dropped them off! We had such a great turnout! The Linus Project has distributed more than 2 million handmade blankets to children since they started in 1995. After all of our hard work we went to Red Robin for dinner and relaxation. Thanks everyone!
