This month we thought the birds could use a little help getting through this freezing winter. We donated suet cakes and peanuts to Ernie Miller Nature Center. Mother Nature was on hand to collect them after giving a presentation on how we could help out our Earth. The kids enjoyed hearing her stories. She talked about the importance of recycling and the kids got to see an endangered ferret up close and personal. Afterwards, she talked with the kids in the bird watching area and answered a few of their questions. It was a great time and we picked up some useful tips. We would like to volunteer there again when the weather turns warmer!
