Since it first opened its doors in 1948, Ozanam has helped more than 6,000 children get their lives back on track. Ozanam is committed to helping kids and their families regain control of their lives and rebuild healthy relationships with each other and their community. They have asked for help in delivering gifts/necessities to children in need. We collected backpacks filled with personal, educational, and fun items to be given to older teenage boys.
From Mary Anne about shopping for the project with her kids, "They still can't grasp that there are some kids in this world that aren't with their parents. They also thought it was crazy that we were getting them toothpaste and a toothbrush for Christmas. I think this was a good activity for my kids."

How we started...
Two moms wanted to do "more" in the way of helping others. We also thought it would be great if our kids could do that with us! We wanted them to see that all of us can make a difference and that giving can be fun. After our first activity we decided to make it official, we gave our group a name, decided on monthly missions, and invited our friends to join us. It is our hope that as the kids get older they will become the leaders and inspiration behind our missions.
