Our first activity was a Walk for the Orangutans at the Zoo. It was a chilly morning but everyone was excited about it. The kids, even the littlest ones did great on the 1 mile run/walk. They particularly enjoyed the cheering bystanders, the cool t-shirts and the food tents at the end. James was proud that he paid his own way and Jack said that surely Steve Irwin himself would be proud of all of us that day. The kids would have loved to stick around and enjoy the zoo more but it was starting to rain so we headed home. A fun way to start our adventure was helping out the Bornean Orangutans.
